This is a solar flashing light that proves disruptive to the sleep cycle of geese causing them to no longer feel secure, moving them onto new, more suitable habitat.     Workplace health and safety is always a great concern and we recognize the need for you to ensure you are in compliance. The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and The Ministry of Labour (MOL) will be joined by Workplace Safety and Prevention Services (WSPS) to discuss common hazards, possible control strategies and solutions on how your facility can prepare for upcoming safety inspections. ESA will introduce you to your legal responsibilities, and different options to achieve compliance and due diligence. You will also learn more about electrical safety around public docks/marinas with respect to aging infrastructure, unsafe electrical products, worker safety and more. MOL & WSPS will provide an overview of what you can do to protect the health & safety of your workers, direct you to tools, checklists and resources available to improve your company’s health & safety program and reduce the risk of harm.

    Ross Macdonald will share stories of his many years of experience and multiple overseas deployments as a soldier in the Canadian Armed Forces. Ross battled through and overcame his diagnosis with an Operational Stress Injury (PTSD) and found his path to recovery through working in the areas of peer support and education. Ross is an avid cottage boater spending countless hours at the family cottage in the Kawartha’s. In Ross’s own words the greatest form of therapy and stress relieving recreation has been the time he has spent on the water.
